何かと曰く付き?の様な楽器です。eBayで入手、調整出して先日返って来ました。
ウソかホントか?という事でもありますが、以下eBayの解説文。Buescherの1933年ものの様です。とりあえず原文を。お話はまた後程。
I PURCHASED THIS SAX AT AN ESTATE AUCTION. AFTERWARDS THE ELDERLY GENTLEMAN WHO OWNED THE REAL ESTATE TOLD ME HE TOOK LESSONS WITH IT AS A CHILD. HE SAID HIS FATHER RECEIVED IT FROM THE LEAD SAXOPHONIST FROM THE TOMMY DORSEY BAND! HE SAID THE MAN WAS TERRIBLY DISFIGURED AND WHEN TELEVISION BECAME POPULAR AND THE BAND BEGAN TO APPEAR ON THE AIR, HE WAS FORCED TO QUIT THE BAND. THE CASE IS BLACK WITH A METAL TAG ON TOP THAT SAYS BUESCHER, ELKHART, IN. THE HANDLE HAS BEEN TAPED. THE CASE LINING IS PURPLE AND HAS A GOLD TAG ON INSIDE COVER THAT SAYS CLASS OF 1933. THE CASE OVERALL IS IN GREAT CONDITION. I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT SAXAPHONES BUT I'LL DESCRIBE IT THE BEST I CAN. THE FRONT OF SAX IS ETCHED WITH A FLOWER DESIGN WITH THE "BUESCHER, ELKHART, IN. U.S.A." IN THE CENTER. ON THE BACK SIDE NEAR THE BOTTOM THERE IS A SERIAL # 257154. THERE IS ALSO A BELL INSIDE OF A TRIANGLE TRADEMARK, THAT SAYS TRUE TONE, LOW PITCH, LICENSE, PAT. DEC. 8, 1914. CLOSE TO THE TRADEMARK THERE ARE TWO SPOTS THAT HAVE BEEN SAUTERED. (CHECK PHOTO). THERE IS A SMALL SPOT, CLOSE TO THE THUMB REST ON THE BACK, WHERE THE FINISH IS WORN OFF FROM YEARS OF PLAYING. THE FINISH ISN'T BRASS LIKE MOST I'VE SEEN. IT LOOKS MORE LIKE A SILVER OR PEWTER FINISH. THERE IS A SMALL DENT IN THE CURVE OF THE SAX. (CHECK PHOTO). ALL OF THE LITTLE PADS AND LEVERS SEEM TO BE IN GREAT WORKING ORDER. IT LOOKS LIKE IT NEEDS GOOD POLISHING, BUT I WASN'T SURE IF THAT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO, SO I LEFT IT ALONE. THIS IS A GREAT QUALITY MADE VINTAGE SAX WITH A GREAT HISTORY!!!! MODEST STARTING BID WITH NO RESERVE. GOOD LUCK!!!
